They don't look like a SWAT team to me. At least they're certainly not dressed like it.
It's newsworthy because:
1.) It's unusual
2.) It's on video
3.) It involves the police
Let's face it, whenever the police do something unusual and it's on video, it's gonna make the news. This just goes to show, you never know when you're on camera.
Besides, imagine if they find evidence in the house and then have to go to court. You can count on the defense lawyer having a field day with the video and talking trash about how unprofessional the deputies were, etc.
I also wonder who obtained the video, the sheriff's deparment or the bad guys? And then how did it get to CNN?
