I got lost driving through bridgeport two years ago to visiting a friend in Fairfield. The housing development areas feel like a foreign country for some reason.
Yeah, unless you know the area (like every city) it's easy to get lost. And in Bridgeport it's easy to forget there are nice affluent towns on either side. North Bridgeport is actually really nice though.

Regardless, I live in Fairfield. Did you like it? Ah...PM me if you want, I realize I'm talking far too much about Bpo and FFLD...kind of off topic.

I believe ms-13 is very active in Somerville as well as Everett.
That is true about MS being in Somerville and Everett. A few of their officers were out here in LA a few months back. They were riding with our gang unit in Rampart Division to learn more about the gang. MS started in Rampart Area. We have quite a few of them here. MS and 18th Street are Rampart's biggest gangs. They hate each other and are always shooting at each other. I'm told that a bunch of them went east and ended up in Mass. They are pretty violent so don't underestimate them.

I Believe that the Latin Kings are still pretty big on the I-91 corridor of Western Mass past Greenfield and into VT. I can remember being in the reserve academy back in '96 and a Greenfield Officer saying that they had a problem with the Latin Kings.

For the most part the Latin Kings/Queens are pretty active in New England. They've quieted down a little in the past years, but they're still around.

Hub gang suspects charged in N.H. car crash, van theft

Two Boston men with suspected ties to a violent international street gang are being detained in New Hampshire after crashing their car and then allegedly trying to skip town in a stolen oil company van.

Felicio Viegas DeOliveira, a 24-year-old Brazilian immigrant living in Boston, was charged Wednesday with receiving stolen property and endangering the welfare of a 15-year-old girl, police said. Police said the teen, a runaway from Quincy, was one of three passengers riding with him.

Leandro Alves, 22, also a Brazilian immigrant living in Boston, was charged with providing a false identification to police. Alves and DeOliveira are each being held on $100,000 cash bail. A male juvenile was the fourth passenger. All four are Brazilian citizens, police said.

The Boston police gang unit was contacted and recognized the female, known to be affiliated with the MS-13 or ``Mara Salvatruchas'' gang, said Assistant Carroll County Attorney Matthew Stachowske.

The gang originated in El Salvador and is known for violent crimes, stealing cars, running drugs and trafficking illegal immigrants.

Stachowske said Alves has a spider web tattoo, a common gang-related marking. He said both are suspected illegal immigrants.

I am a Cop, but I used to work for the Department of Correction. I can tell you that the biggest problem we have in MASS with Gangs is in Springfield MASS. The Latin Kings are huge out there as well as several other Hispanic gangs. The Latin Kings are a huge, very organized Gang, and a major problem. The Governor just allocated millions to combat Gangs in MASS, and Springfield got more money then the City of Boston did if that sais something.
