York Police Department - Summer Reserve Officers York Police Department Summer Reserve Officer Reserve officers are employed on a full time basis from the middle of May until early September and on a part time basis the remainder of the year. We are a progressive law enforcement agency that utilizes both mountain bike and foot patrol in our more populated areas. Competitive pay and per diem wages for various training courses is offered. All applicants must successfully complete the Maine Criminal Justice Academy ALERT Test, Physical Agility Test, Polygraph Examination, background check and complete the Maine Criminal Justice pre-service Academy resulting in a Law Enforcement certificate for the State of Maine. Applicant must also successfully complete: Oral board interview, medical examination and York Police Department training program. All uniforms and equipment needed are provided. Minimum Standards: United States citizen, 21 years of age or 20 years of age with 60 college credits, good physical condition, vision correctable to 20/20, High School diploma or equivalent, college preferred.
