This is just completely wrong any way you look at it.

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) -- The Walt Disney Co. has applied for a trademark on the name "Seal Team 6," the name of the unit of specially trained Navy SEALs that killed Osama bin Laden in a raid in Pakistan earlier this month. Three applications filed May 3 -- the day after the raid -- with the U.S. Patent and Trademark office by Disney Enterprises Inc. state an intention to use the mark for a range of products including entertainment and education services, clothing, toys, games and Christmas stockings

Several years ago the Royal Canadian Mounted Police hooked up with Disney for all of their RCMP related projects/goods. Disney is one of the few companies that will go after you for infringement, no matter how big or small. Apparently the RCMP felt they were losing too much money through sales of bootleg shirts, hats, etc. I would hope the SEALS and the Navy would have final say in this.

It's no surprise that the giant rat will attempt to make a buck anywhere they can but now they're going to oversex these poor defenseless Seals and make them grow up way before their time...you saw what happened to Brittany and Christina...lol

Our military belongs to everyone, not to the corporate megante known for a cartoon mouse and a retarded dog.

I hope this ends with the Fed Gov telling Disney to GFI.

Would think the Navy would have a better arguement of ownership, however...

The new name is DEVGRU anyways, ST6 hasn't been used for decades.

How sad they want to whore money under the name of our military who risked their lives taking out the world's most wanted mass murdering terrorist.

You don't see them clamoring to trademark The Salvation Army...gee I wonder why. Have they no shame?
