The other day while on my way from getting my cruiser fixed at MHQ, I stopped at the Natick Rest Area on the Pike to put some gas in the ol' warhorse. As I filled up the cruiser I turned around a noticed a car pulling into the break-down lane on the Pike, about 50 feet from my position and about 300 yards from the entrance to the rest area. I turned back to my cruiser, thinking it was just a cell-phone user or a map-reader. As soon as I finished filling up, I heard horns blaring and brakes screeching. I turned around to an unbelievable site; THE OPERATOR WAS IN THE PROCESS OF PERFORMING A 3-POINT TURN IN THE BDL, THEN BEGAN TO HEAD IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION ON THE PIKE!!! I, intially ran after the operator screaming at them to stop. The driver didn't seem to notice me. I then ran back to my cruiser and pulled her over as she pulled into the parking lot. It turned out she was some 57-year old housewife who "had to pull in the rest stop". She had no other excuse for her outrageous behavior. I gave her a civil citation, ignoring my intial impulse to charge her criminally, because she had no BOP or KQ. WHAT ARE SOME PEOPLE THINKING????!!!!

Allow me to go t: for a bit. It is selfish behavior on the part of the lemmings that requires people like me to be employed as we are.

[rant on] The subject creature is oblivious to the needs/wants/aspirations/EXISTENCE of others; It is all about her...the rest of us are just the holograms that populate the "stage" of her life...in other words, we are just "extras" and are therefore expendable :evil: .

I'll not second guess you. But, if it were me, I'd have hung so much paper on the lemming that she'd have had insurance surcharges for ten years past her death! [rant off]

It is bad enough when one of our children "backs-up" to access a ramp...most can't back in a straight line for 10 feet! But to attempt a three-point-turn? I hope you didn't "yell" at her...knowing the job, it'd be BOHICA time...

Lets hope that when she does another stupid thing with her car that she is the one who dies, and not some other lemming droid!

Hot damn! What did she get for a civil citation?

I think this is one of the more dangerous kinds of drivers that we have on the road. Makes you wonder what other sorts of antics she's pulled.

I mean, I could somewhat understand reversing into the rest area, but a three-point turn!
