Police are investigating a reported stabbing outside the White Hen Pantry on Pulaski Boulevard, where a woman said she was attacked by three teens.
A nurse at Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket, R.I., called police around 7:30 p.m. Sunday and told them a woman being treated in the emergency room had been stabbed, Detective Jennifer Gosselin said.
The woman, who was not named, had injuries that were not life-threatening, police said.
Gosselin said the victim told police she was pulled from her vehicle in the parking lot of White Hen Pantry by three teenage girls "looking for money."
"The victim reported being stabbed in the upper leg, changing clothes and driving herself to the hospital," Gosselin said.
The trip from the store at 417 Pulaski Blvd. to the hospital is about two miles.
Police are investigating and trying to compile a description of the three girls.
Anyone with information is urged to call Bellingham Police at 508-966-1515.
