I hope the trooper (and everyone else) is OK. Looks like our Russian, PO ramming, friend is going to have a cellmate!

Woman Arrested after Route 128 Chase

PEABODY, Mass. -- A Wellesley woman faces numerous charges after leading police on a wild chase on Route 128.

State police say the chase followed a carjacking in Wellesley. It ended in Peabody with the capture of 43-year-old Sheryl Sidman.

Along the way, the car Sidman was driving allegedly rammed three state police cruisers. A trooper who tried to stop the car in Burlington was struck in the legs and thrown on to the hood of the vehicle. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Wellesley police say the incident apparently began earlier this morning with an argument between Sidman and her husband. At some point, the woman reportedly left her husband and flagged down a motorist on Route Nine. Police say she took that man's car after telling him that she had a gun. No weapon was found.

The chase ended when the car crashed into a curb after exiting Route 128 in Peabody. Sidman was hospitalized with what police called minor injuries.
