Officer Suffers Minor Injuries

ROCHESTER, N.H. -- A Dover, N.H., woman was charged with dragging a police officer with her vehicle following a traffic stop.

Jocelyn Noonan, 27, was charged with reckless conduct, DWI second offense, operating under suspension and having an open container. Police said they stopped Noonan on Ashwood Drive early Tuesday morning because she was driving erratically.

Police said that Sgt. Eric Dugas grabbed Noonan's steering wheel because it appeared she was going to drive away. Noonan began driving off with Dugas' arm stuck in the window, police said.

In court, prosecutors said Dugas told Noonan several times to turn off her car.

Dugas was dragged for about 100 yards and suffered bumps and bruises on his body, police said. He was expected to return to work later this week.

Police said Dugas' partner pursued Noonan in his cruiser, and she drove to Eastern Avenue and Springfield Estate, where she got out of her car and ran.

"The officer chased her on foot, and then she struggled with the officer when he caught up to her," Capt. Paul Callahan said.
