I heard that Western New England College Police have been approved to carry firearms. Can anyone verify this ?

Yeah, I heard from an employee there that they have been approved to carry, unsure of the time frame, but it just went through last week I guess.
Just this past weekend two of their officers found a weapon in the car of two dirtbags that were trying to B&E a car on thier property :shock:

I hope for them this is true. I worked there around 1988 for a few years. Great bunch of guys, most worked part time on a local pd.

Well it is confirmed. Just got off the phone with their Captain. Excellent job for those officers who worked on getting this done and to their chief for supporting them.
