Company Launches Ad Campaign In Bay State
BOSTON -- An online dating service that matches married men and women for affairs has launched an ad campaigns in Boston, according to the Boston Herald.
The Ashley Madison Agency, which uses the slogan "Life is short. Have an affair," started advertising on radio stations WAAF and WBCN last week, and TV ads will start to air soon.
Adultery is a criminal offense in the Bay State, but a spokeswoman for the Attorney General's office said no law enforcement agency in the state has enforced it in years.
The dating agency said it started advertising in Massachusetts because local residents were seeking out their services.
Agency CEO and President Noel Biderman told the Herald that Ashley Madison has 2.7 million members, of which 70 percent are men and most have been married for five to 10 years.
