NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (AP) - A 64-year-old Watertown man has been sentenced to four and a half years in prison for sexually assaulting a 15-year-old boy.
Carl Gemino, former co-owner of Gem Manufacturing in Waterbury, was sentenced Wednesday in New Britain Superior Court.
Gemino was among eight men arrested in the case last year, including a Waterbury police lieutenant and a judicial marshal.
All were accused of engaging in sexual activity with the 15-year-old boy.
None were accused of forcing the boy to have sex. However, they were charged because he had not yet reached 16, the age of consent in Connecticut.
Along with his prison time, Gemino will serve 20 years of probation and must register as a sex offender after he is released.
