Warwick man accused of impersonating police officer

    A Warwick man is accused of impersonating a Johnston police officer on the telephone.
    Michael Corona, 50, was charged with three counts of impersonating a public official. He was released on personal recognizance.
    Johnston police said a man claiming to be Officer Tony Russo was calling residents to solicit donations for a DARE program.
    The town said it does not have a DARE program or an officer by that name.
