Hey Howie, does something like this count as one of the "perks" of being a state hack? Where were you at 2:20am last night?
He was jerking off to kiddie porn in his McMansion, thinking of new and differing ways he can open his suck hole and complain about shit.

All joking aside I hope the Trooper is ok and pulls through fine.

Alleged Drunken Driver Hits State Trooper On Pike

Impact Throws Trooper 30 Feet

BOSTON (WBZ) ― A State trooper was hit by a car on the Mass Pike early Saturday morning in Newton while he was responding to an emergency call.

Police officials said Trooper Dana Cresta was investigating a car crash along the Pike around 3 a.m. near mile marker 125 when a car driving in the breakdown lane hit him.

Police said the 49-year-old trooper was thrown 30 feet. He is being treated for serious injuries at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston. He was listed in fair condition Saturday afternoon.

The driver of the vehicle, 23-year-old Patrick J. Sullivan, of Framingham, was arrested and charged with drunk driving causing serious bodily injury. Sullivan and his passenger were not hurt in the crash.

Sullivan is also charged with operating in the breakdown lane and operating to endanger. He is scheduled to be arraigned next week.

Police said the driver involved in the one-car crash that Cresta was investigating before he was hit fled the scene before police arrived. Police say that crash happened around 2:20 a.m.

this is very upsetting and completely avoidable. from the pics of the car it looks like the trooper took a pretty hard hit. i typically travel the pike around that time and wish something could have been done to prevent this.

does anyone have any updates on dana's condition?

someone should arrange for there to be a large presence of blue at this dbag's arraignment NYPD style.

To all that are concerned,
I am Sgt Chris Cresta of the Lawrence Auxiliary Police and son of injured trooper Dana Cresta. My father is currently in serious but stable condition at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston with serious facial fractures and two broken ribs. He is expected in for surgery later on in the week. My father, family and I can not express the gratitude and concern we have received from fellow officers and troopers over the past 24 hours as we deal with this hard time. Again, thank you to all that were involved and be safe.

A state police trooper who survived being struck by an alleged drunken driver while on duty early yesterday told the Herald he tried to dodge the oncoming Nissan by jumping and curling into a ball.
"One of the maintenance workers yelled to me, and I saw it just in time. I jumped and rolled like a ball," said Trooper Dana M. Cresta, 49, in a brief telephone interview from his hospital room at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. "They said I hit the windshield and got thrown 30 feet. I remember jumping and not anything after that until I came to on the street."
Cresta was investigating a single-car crash on the westbound side of the Mass Pike in Newton at about 2:51 a.m. when he was hit by a 2008 Nissan Maxima that was traveling in the breakdown lane, state police said.
Cresta, a father of three from North Reading, suffered a broken nose, eye socket, cheek bone and broken ribs, according to his sister, Donna Mozuch of Tewksbury. "There are too many drunk drivers out there," Mozuch said.
She said Cresta's size - he's 6 feet, 3 inches and weighs about 288 pounds - worked in her brother's favor.
The doctors "just kept saying, 'You're really lucky. You're really lucky,' " she said.
Patrick J. Sullivan, 23, of Framingham, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence, causing serious bodily injury, operating in the breakdown lane and operating to endanger, state police said. He did not return a phone message yesterday seeking comment.
"He's a great guy. He's dedicated, sincere. He's a great father." Mozuch said of her younger brother. "He's not fighting for his life, but he's seriously hurt. He got hit very badly by a drunk driver."

That Pike westbound stretch in Newton is a death trap. All of the bridge and tunnel people returning from the bars and clubs heading westbound every night, cocked off their asses. E-1 is no country club barracks...speedy recovery bro.
