FORT WORTH, Texas --
The widow of a Fort Worth police officer who was killed in a fiery crash talked about her loss Wednesday in court.
Officer Dwayne Freeto died in December 2006, when police said Samuel Lee Hilburn, 22, slammed into the back of his cruiser at nearly 100 mph.
Hilburn is on trial on a charge of intoxication manslaughter in Freeto's death.
Freeto was a 34-year-old father of two girls when he died. His Karen Freeto, 32, described for the court how she met her husband during a stint in the military and how they had two young children together at the time of his death.
Hillburn appeared to be visibly shaken during Freeto's testimony, NBC 5 reported.
If convicted, Hilburn could face 20 years in prison.
