With my only experience in applying for, and executing search warrants being in the far away, and different land of Southern California, does anyone know if Massachusetts has a provision for telephonic search warrants (SW applied for, and granted over the phone)?

In San Diego, California, the affidavit is read and sworn to over the phone in a conference call between the DA on-call, or City Attorney, the officer seeking the warrant, the Judge, and a Court services deputy sheriff recording and documenting the call. The judge then grants or denies the application for the warrant, and the officer writes the respective judges' name in the signature space. If granted, the search warrant is executed, and the officer goes to court on the next court business day, and submits the warrant return, and receipt to the court. The Judge physically signs the warrant at this time.

This process allows for the scene to be secured, and makes it easier to obtain a warrant in a timely fashion.

Does anyone have any information related to this topic here in Mass??
