HANSON -
A 14-year-old boy is being treated for burns over almost half his body after Hanson firefighters received a call for help and found the teenager in a parking lot off Station Street.
The teenager was taken by helicopter to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston with first- and second-degree burns over 45 percent of his body, Hanson fire officials said. They received a 911 call at 4:38 p.m. Wednesday.
The incident is being investigated by the police and fire departments, and the state fire marshal's office has been notified.
No further information about the incident was released this morning.

Maybe a meth lab gone wrong and his buddies left him in a parking lot to avoid the spotlight? Not much info there, kind of bizzare
Could be, but a meth lab in Hanson would be surprising. I'm still inclined to believe it was another installment of Stupid People Tricks.

Well here you go................

BOSTON -- A teenage boy found in a Hanson parking lot suffering from burns on almost half of his body was part of a group of teens experimenting with fire and gasoline, State Fire Marshal Stephen Coan said Thursday.

The Hanson Fire Department received a 911 call at about 4:40 p.m. Wednesday. The 14-year-old was found near Station Street and taken by Medflight to Massachusetts General Hospital.

"Adults should speak to the children in their care about who should be handling gasoline, how and when," Coan said. "Young teens should not be handling gasoline without adult supervision, and they need to understand how easily gasoline vapors can ignite."

The incident remained under investigation by state and local police and fire departments.

Were they trying to disprove the theory that it's flammable?

With all of the media available to them, you would think there wouldn't be a need for this? Nope. Just like the same moron kids who come totally unprepared for the college class or the academy. Oh well Fenatyl and Saline will be his new friend!
