Taunton District Court

Sept. 12 session

Benjamin R. Lotman III, 38, of 111 Bywood Road, Elkton, Md., was arraigned on charges of negligent operation of a motor vehicle and state highway traffic violation. The cases were continued by Cunningham to Oct. 31. A complaint was filed against Lotman June 30 relating to an incident on March 30 in Raynham.

Cesar G. Borges, 25, of 47 Friend St., first floor, Taunton, was arraigned on charges of operation of a motor vehicle with license revoked and unregistered operation of a motor vehicle. The cases were continued by Cunningham to Oct. 30. A complaint was filed against Borges Aug. 13 relating to an incident on May 5 in Taunton.

Amanda Monteiro, 24, of 6 Linden St., Taunton, was arraigned on a charge of operation of a motor vehicle with license suspended. The case was continued by Cunningham to Oct. 30. A complaint was filed against Monteiro Friday after she was arrested Thursday in Taunton.

Chester Miller III, 24, of 103 Hart St., Bldg. 2, Apt. 304, Taunton, had a charge against him of operation of a motor vehicle with license suspended dismissed by Cunningham. A complaint was filed against Miller Aug. 13 relating to an incident on May 8 in Taunton.

Monday session

Christopher L. Pinho, 28, of 34 Garfield St., Taunton, was arraigned on charges of assault and battery on a police officer and disorderly conduct. The cases were continued by Judge Kevan J. Cunningham to Oct. 29. A complaint was filed against Pinho Monday after he was arrested Saturday in Taunton.

Kara M. Chapman, 31, of 79 North Precinct St., East Taunton, was arraigned on charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, a shod foot, and disorderly conduct. A complaint was filed against her Monday after she was arrested Saturday in Taunton. The defendant was ordered released on $100 cash bail. Also ordered was no abuse of the victim. The cases were continued by Cunningham to Oct. 29.

Hazel M. Rodriguez, 33, of 6 Highland Court, Taunton, was arraigned on a charge of disorderly conduct. The case was continued by Cunningham to Oct. 29. A complaint was filed against Rodriguez Monday after she was arrested Saturday in Taunton.

Matthew J. Galewski, 30, of 17 Ridgewood St., Dorchester, was arraigned on a charge of sex offender fails to register. A complaint was filed against him Monday after he was arrested Friday in Raynham. The defendant was ordered held at Bristol County House of Correction in lieu of $250 cash bail or $2,500 surety. The case was continued by Cunningham to Oct. 14.

Joao Martins, 20, of 137 Washington St., Apt. 2, Taunton, had charges against him of threat to commit a crime and intimidation of a witness dismissed without prejudice by Judge Francis L. Marini due to want of prosecution. The dismissal was with the understanding that the same charges could be brought against the defendant at a later date. A warrant was issued for the arrest of Martins May 27, 2005 relating to an incident on May 20, 2005 in Taunton.

Joseph E. Dugan, 31, of 42 Wales St., Unit 1, Taunton, was arraigned on a charge of receiving stolen property over $250. The cases were continued by Cunningham to Nov. 4. A complaint was filed against Dugan Monday after he was arrested Sunday in Taunton.
