SWAMPSCOTT, Mass. - A Swampscott man has been barred from attending state youth hockey games and could face criminal charges after allegedly grabbing an eight-year-old boy around the neck during a game.
Jordan Waldman allegedly became angry, grabbed Cameron Bynre around the neck, shook him and swore at him during the game last month in Peabody.
The boy's parents filed a complaint against Waldman and a district court magistrate will determine whether a criminal complaint should be issued.
Waldman's son played on the same team as the boy. The Lynn Item reports that Waldman later removed his son from the league.
The Salem/Swampscott Youth Hockey Association has banned Waldman from attending future games.
