BROCKTON -
Two men are accused of stabbing a 36-year-old Abington man on Legion Parkway Thursday.
Maurice Williams, 22, of 224 Pleasant St., and Diondre Terrell, 21, of 285 Green St., were charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, armed robbery and assault and battery while armed.
They were arrested after a search and chase downtown.
Lt. John Crowley, chief of detectives, said the victim told authorities he was waiting for a cab outside the Alamo bar on Legion Parkway early Thursday when he was attacked by a group of men.
He told police the men stole his cell phone, wallet and $20.
The victim, after the theft, discovered he had been stabbed three times in the side.
The victim suffered a collapsed lung and may need his spleen removed, Crowley said.
The robbery was the second this week on Legion Parkway.
Two people told police they were robbed at knifepoint Sept. 30 around 11:45 p.m. The male suspects stole an XBox video game system from the men.
Shortly after that robbery, police officers saw two men run into traffic, one carrying an XBox.
One suspect pulled out a knife, refused to drop it and was subdued, police said.
While police were interviewing the suspects, the victims in the robbery approached them to report the attack.
Alandre Felix, 17, of 121 Walnut St., was charged with armed robbery and assault with a dangerous weapon.
Johnny Richmond, 20, of Silver Road, Brockton, was charged with armed robbery.
