NEWTON (WBZ) ― Police have arrested a Randolph man who allegedly stole an ATM card from a locker at the Brae Burn Country Club.
Timothy Dowd, 47, was arrested without incident at his home Aug. 29, police said. The arrest was announced Tuesday.
Police obtained a warrant for Dowd's arrest after being contacted by someone who saw a surveillance tape of the Aug. 9 theft on television.
The tape showed a man dressed as a golfer walking into the clubhouse and stealing the bank card.
Dowd was charged with breaking and entering into a depository, larceny from a building and receiving stolen property.
At the time of the Newton theft, investigators said they believed the same
man pulled a similar heist at the Longmeadow Country Club in Tewksbury last April.
