Gerhard Sentenced To 20 Years; Wolffe Sentenced To 30 Months
CONCORD, N.H. -- Two men have been sentenced to prison for helping tax evaders Ed and Elaine Brown.
Jason Gerhard, 22, of New York, was sentenced to 20 years in prison after he was convicted of helping the Browns avoid capture.
Robert Wolffe, of Vermont, received a much lighter sentence of 30 months in prison after he cooperated with prosecutors and testified at Gerhard's trial.
The Browns were arrested in October by a team of undercover U.S. marshals posing as supporters. They are each serving five-year sentences.
