Students Got Beer For Nude Pics From School Employee

A former Brighton, Utah High School seasonal employee accused of providing beer in exchange for nude photos of teenage boys pleaded guilty to a lesser misdemeanor charge in 3rd District Court Friday.
Brian Scott Hansen, 49, of West Valley City, was charged in May with four counts of third-degree felony solicitation to commit sexual exploitation of a minor and one count of supplying alcohol to a minor, a class A misdemeanor.
Hansen pleaded guilty to an amended charges of dealing in harmful material to a minor, a class A misdemeanor punishable by up to 1 year in jail and a $5,000 fine.
He will be sentenced on Nov. 14 before Judge Vernice Trease.
Police arrested Hansen after an investigation found he offered alcohol to male students at Brighton High, who in turn sent him photos of their genitalia, according to charging documents. Police found photos of male genitalia with names of students written on the back in Hansen's bedroom, the documents state.
Hansen's arrest was a shock to the Brighton High School community, who knew him as a regular at school activities. He was a temporary employee at Brighton High School who occasionally helped at sporting events and ran the clock at some games, a Jordan School District spokeswoman previously told The Tribune.
The high school hired him in Septemer, 2006, after he passed a background check for employment, and he worked through April, according to the school.
