Town of Sterling is seeking a full time police officer. Requirements for the position are: U.S. Citizen, valid drivers license, H.S. graduate, associate or higher degree preferred. Graduates of a certified MPTC academy are also preferred. Selected candidates will undergo an interview process, physical fitness test, medical and psychological exam and ground investigation. Applicants should be able to obtain a class A LTC and have no significant criminal or traffic record. Starting base salary range is $46,207 - $58,0004, additionally there is an educational incentive program of 10% associates degree, 20% bachelors degree and 25% masters degree. There are also longevity bonus, shift differential, physical fitness incentive, clothing allowances, sick leave, health and dental benefits, insurance policy and other benefits outlined in a collective bargaining agreement.
