I disagree. The state didn't do due diligence in hiring her. She shouldn't be in the unemployment line because of that. IMO, they need to own the mistake and own her.

Gov. Deval Patrick has finally found the culprit behind the outrageous patronage hiring of accident-prone highway safety chief Sheila Burgess, and it's a shocker.
Is it the governor? Of course not. Is it someone in the governor's office, who controls patronage hiring? No way. Is it the politically connected public safety secretary, Mary Beth Heffernan, whose name was listed on Burgess' job application?
