77/22 with a 10 15/16 inch barrel, last 1/2 inch threaded 1/2x28 TPI.
Waiting for a LCW suppressor to transfer in.

Pretty quiet, bullet "passing" and flight noise is evident with aguila subsonic (40 and 36 grain) Remington Subsonic sometimes goes supersonic, Old PMC moderator (aguila) very quiet, so far RWS Subsonic is the quietest.

Temp -4, 56% humidity 30.47 in pressure.

NOTE: Ruger 77/22 in either SBR with removeable suppressor or full length with perm suppressor. If the suppressor is permanently attached to the barrel, it negates the SBR classification.

Very nice, it reminds me of my Ruger 10-22 loaded with subsonic rounds, very quiet (though not as quiet as your rifle), although it turns a semi-auto rifle into a bolt action. Too bad suppressors are illegal for private citizens in MA.

True...now here's one you might find interesting....

That's the 10/22 with a suppressed barrel. The barrel is about 5 inches, the rest is baffles and space. Shoots Winchester 40 grain dynapoints subsonic and completely cycles the action...The "best ammo" for it is CCI Mini Mags...still stays subsonic, the action noise is a little louder...but the "thump" value is HIGH!

If you end up out this way in the wilderness, as western MA as you can get...let me know. We can take these to the local indoor range, try them out. The loudest noise is the "SMACK" of the bullet hitting the back stop.
