An eight month old post... <sigh> the advertisement was for a non-sworn position, not for a position with the SPD.
Springfield Housing Public Safety
Anyone have any info. on these guys? Apparently the Springfield Housing Authority employs "Public Housing Safety Officers". The job description includes enforcing traffic laws, parking violations, patrol, and responding to fire and medical emergencies within the complexes. Anybody know if they have full police powers? Carry? Drive marked vehicles? Take care.
