Hmmm this must be new. Maybe the new mayor is trying to get more officers on the street by hiring lower paid security people. I know the museum has security paidfor by the tax payers but the make like $8 and hour if I am recalling correctly.
Springfield Housing Public Safety
Anyone have any info. on these guys? Apparently the Springfield Housing Authority employs "Public Housing Safety Officers". The job description includes enforcing traffic laws, parking violations, patrol, and responding to fire and medical emergencies within the complexes. Anybody know if they have full police powers? Carry? Drive marked vehicles? Take care.
