Union,

What do you mean by signed the list? We don't really have a list (I'm assuming that your speaking of something similar to civil service). A class has been put through and graduated since then. I think you may be talking about the informational meeting for candidates. If this is the case, you may have been passed over. Don't fret though, people sometimes get passed over and hired for later academies.

Nah man, They called me and asked me to come and fill out the application and to sign some list that they had. When I got there, there were a bunch of people filling out the AP. Then they said I would be hearng from them and I never did. Subsiquently, the woman from there Personel Dept who gave me her card left about a month after I signed that thing. I never herd from it.. Oh well, time to move on, I just wonder what happend.

Yeah, I know exactly what your talking about now. That was the informational meeting step, which involves filling out the background packet/application, and signing a bunch of stuff. Unfortunatley, at least in my opinion, my department isn't that great at getting back to people. Unfortunatley, it sounds like you got passed over. A group of 12 recruits was hired from the group from that meeting. They graduated a little while ago.

I wouldn't fret too much though. A friend of mine got to that point twice, and got passed over, before being hired for my academy. I know they went though 700 applications for my class, and originally invited 150 or so people to the informational meeting, to attend my 45 recruit class.

The one thing I do suggest, is to keep your resume on file updated. They only hold your resume for six months, and then remove it from consideration. I sent mine in several times before being hired. If you have any questions that you feel would help the group please post here, or PM me for more personal questions.
