Does anyone know of a spanish class for police? I took four years of spanish and I can read it, but when someone who is spanish speaks to me I cannot understand them.

I heard that there is a class just for police but I cannot find it anywhere. Any advice would be great!

Curry College has a course titled "Spanish for the Law Enforcement Professional". It is taught by a Boston PD Sergeant. It's an under graduate course. I really don't know how in depth it goes, but my guess would be that it is very basic spanish since it's only an 8 week course.

That's Arty McCarty, ex-Housing Police Deputy Chief. He took a leave of absence from BPD to try to run our band of misfits back in 1994. He didn't last long. Couldn't take the heat I guess.

Kate Gallagher teaches a course called Spanish for Law Enforcement at Western New England College. It's an undergrad course and is usually offered on the North Shore satellite campuses. Very helpful for the street cop.
