South Carolina Highway Patrol Trooper Dies After Patrol Car Struck A South Carolina Highway Patrol trooper was killed after his cruiser was struck on a highway near Greenville early Tuesday morning. Trooper Daniel K. Rebman was inside his patrol car, parked in an emergency lane in the southbound side of Interstate 385 near the Bridges Road exit shortly before 12:30 a.m., when the crash occurred, according to WSPA-TV. Officials say a pickup truck traveled out of its lane and hit the patrol car from behind with the trooper still sitting inside.
