Caught a good call the other night,
Started out as a simple disturbance, then turned into B&E of about 10 cars, through a little investigation we find out it was a group of four teens that are well known to us. One was locked up at the scene but was not rating out his boyz "you got nothing on us, go fuck yourself" nice guy eh? Anyway the dimwit was in possession of some items that tied him to the breaks.
One down three to go......
One turned himself in but said they did nothing wrong he was just hanging with his boyz. While talking to him a report for a stolen MV in the same area comes in. The one talking to us describes the car they where in (bingo) same as the reported stolen car. He continues to tell us where they went joyriding. One of the locations was a local store.
Run to the store grab the CCTV tape (bingo) all four are on tape pulling up in front of the store and getting out of the hotbox. (guess who was driving?, the shitbird with the big mouth that we had nothing on) lol
Two down two to go.....
Later that morning see another one of the involved parties (gotcha)
Three down one to go....
Had to apply for a warrant for the last one (can't win em all)
In total 10 car breaks and 2 motor vehicle thefts solved within 5 hours with the help of Seekonk PD and Pawtucket PD.
Makes for a nice pinch but a boatload of paperwork.
