Police say a New Hampshire ski area was targeted by thieves for its metal equipment.
Police say burglars took more than two dozen pulley wheels used on the chair lifts at the Wildcat Ski Area. The wheels were in a maintenance shed at the time. The wheels are made out of aluminum and all together are worth $19,000. They weigh 10 pounds each, are approximately 12-14 inches in diameter and some are stamped with serial numbers. Several of them have "Doppelmayr", "CTEC" or "Riblet" stamped on the side, which is the name manufacturers.
Police are asking scrap yard owners in New Hampshire and Vermont to be on the lookout for the wheels.
A $500 reward is being offered.
