Seems to be the going trend these days. Speaking to the commisioner of Cambridge PD yesterday, they are desperate for laterals. Things have certainly changed.Zero applicants so far!
Excellent pay and CPD is a great department on a number of levels, but you'll be working in a cesspool. That SHITTY is filth. It will suck the soul right out of you. If you can get through your career without hitting some asshole on a bike or a totally oblivious pedestrian, you'll be in heaven. Screw that bastion of liberalism. A city counsellor was upset about the state seal a few years ago because he felt that the sword above the head of the Native American was meant to intimidate Native Americans. Well, why didn't that shitsucking HELL HOLE disincorporate and simply give the ENTIRE city over to the Native Americans as a type of reparations? BECAUSE THEY'RE HYPOCRITES! "I won't give up MY house because my Professor's Salary paid for it while I work hard for the rights of others." FUCK YOU. How many of you here on this site can afford to live in Shittybridge? And yet, these scrotums will RAIL against the rich, all the while making more than many of us doing a much more important job. I applaud anyone who applies because you WILL be paid well and get good benefits and have a lot to do (they rarely DON'T have something going on) but you'll be working for those who make insane demands yet secretly hate you. Think about it, if they're so concerned about the "UNHOUSED", why do they make the cops do directed patrols around City Hall to move them along? HYPOCRACY!Seems to be the going trend these days. That’s a tough line for a lot of people. Make a lot of money but have a shitty quality of life at work and get burnt out quickly…or make less and have less nonsense going on. Personally, I prefer the latter. The extra work will always be there if you need it.Excellent pay and CPD is a great department on a number of levels, but you'll be working in a cesspool. Whoops, I kinda lost it there. But I stand by it.
After speaking with a few guys that have been on about 8-10 years, it’s changed a lot….then again which department hasn’t? The entire police culture is not what it used to be.Does anyone have any insight as to how working for the Massachusetts State Police is? How are supervisors? Culture within the department? Morale?
