Just executed arrest warrant on fellow employee. If that doesn't suck being in the same union, knowing the guy etc.... At least the "assigned for service" municipal agency was happy we made hook/transport and that's good for our relationship.

Anybody else out there doing this, or do the locals like to come out themselves?

Dude......You did what..????

Tell me it was for something really really bad..And when you say fellow employee. Please tell me it was the station janitor or something like that....I would assume for sake of clarification you are in some position of supervision right? Where I come from "traditionally speaking" of course this is handled by upper level bosses or IA guys even for the most trivial matters, never mind worst case.
I would rather take five days than locking up a brother unless there's a school bus full of dead nuns or it involves a clock tower....But thats me..I guess I am a throwback to the old days...
Here's to having a crappy day, bright and early...

I agree, if it was a fellow officer, then it's a supervisors job.
We were once told by a Sgt. to grab a fellow officer on a domestic incident. We wouldn't do it. He, {The Sgt.} wouldn't either, so the Lt. had to do it. That's why he gets an extra $425.00 a week. If it wasn't another cop, I would have no problem.

Of course the easiest way would be to let the issuing agency handle it. They would understand your predicament I'm sure.

Well..thats softens the blow...Kind of a complicated issue for me...I hope it was serious enough that you don't have to see him around anymore or if not its somebody you might have to rely on down the road for anything...I doubt they will forget who cuffed them...if you know what I mean...although I doubt it will effect his deputy status...Ha ha ha...sorry that was too easy...I promise not to go there again...

Actually He's O.K. with it. It was better and far less public than if Locals showed up looking for him. It wasn't for a violent felony or anything anyway.
