Fall River -
A second man has been arrested in connection with the alleged attempted murder and robbery of a city real estate agent last September.
Police spokesman Sgt. Paul Bernier said Dana Sean Lee, 29, of 57 First St., second floor, Taunton, was arrested at approximately 11 p.m. Tuesday night.
Lee was arrested on warrants for assault with intent to murder, armed robbery while masked, kidnapping, entering at night for a felony with a person in fear, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and two counts of carrying a firearm without a license.
Police said Lee is linked to the attempted murder of Antonio Alberto on Sept. 24.
Lee is the second man arrested in connection to the incident following the apprehension of Peter Chamberlin a few weeks after the alleged shooting. Chamberlin is currently awaiting trial behind bars.
After the shooting, Alberto told police he was shot in the back of the head by Chamberlin after being taken hostage by the man he knew as "Marco" and two other men inside the basement of his office at 420 Stafford Road.
According to police reports compiled through interviews with Alberto, Chamberlin set up a phony meeting with Alberto under the alias "Marco" to look at properties but as Alberto answered his office door at approximately 7:30 that Monday night, he was rushed by three men, who bound his hands, covered his eyes and mouth with duct tape, and threatened to kill him. Alberto told police the men were looking for money kept in a safe inside the office, which used to be a bank, despite Alberto telling the men the safe was inoperable.
Alberto said the men later located an undisclosed amount of cash in a desk drawer, before Alberto attempted to free himself in a scuffle with Chamberlin that came to an end with the accused gunman pulling the trigger and striking Alberto in the back of the head.
Playing dead, Alberto said he waited for the three men to leave before going upstairs and dialing 911 with his nose.
Bernier said members of the Major Crimes Division received information that Lee was inside an apartment in Taunton. He said detectives worked in conjunction with Taunton police to execute the search warrant Tuesday night.
"Once inside he was located in the living room and arrested without incident," Bernier said.
Bernier said no further information on Lee's arrest was available Wednesday.
Bristol County District Attorney's Office spokesman Gregg Miliote said Lee was arraigned Wednesday morning and is being held pending a dangerousness hearing scheduled for Friday.
