Scout leader busted with kid porn

A Peabody Boy Scout volunteer accused of swapping gut-churning pictures of child sex abuse and convincing children to send him naked pictures of themselves yesterday appeared in federal court, prosecutors said.
Patrick Lynch, 22, who was held pending a detention hearing Thursday, told state troopers and federal agents who arrested him last Friday that he sent the emails, and even looked at child pornography while he was camping with scouts, according to an affidavit filed at U.S. District Court in Boston.
"Lynch admitted that he received emails containing pictures of elementary school aged children naked, posing, and engaged in sexual acts," the affidavit states. "He also admitted to viewing child pornography on his laptop while in his tent at Philmont Boy Scout Camp in New Mexico."
Federal agents stated in the affidavit that they have been monitoring email accounts known to trade in child pornography.
