SCARBOROUGH, Maine -- Scarborough police were investigating an armed robbery at the Christmas Tree Shops store on Payne Road Saturday night.
Police said the robber walked into the store at about 6:20 p.m. Saturday and demanded cash. After displaying a semi-automatic handgun, he got away on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspect was described as a white male between 17 and 19 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall with shoulder-length curly brown hair. Police said he was wearing dark jeans, a burnt-orange parka, a black ball cap, black sneakers with white soles and a navy neoprene ski mask.
