Viral Marketing Campaign Hits Internet

BOSTON -- A viral marketing campaign is turning Internet pranksters into presidential hopefuls. creates a fake news video about the 2008 election with your friend's name appearing on billboards, bumper stickers and even a woman's tattoo as the candidate.

Just enter their name, and the site will send an e-mail with a link to the video, that has a "news reporter" doing a story on a candidate whose popularity is sweeping the nation.
The e-mail reads, "How is it going? A friend just sent me a link to this Web site, and you are all over it. Is this really you?"

The video plays on a page that looks like a real news Web site with other topical, fake news headlines.

Paltalk, a New York company that provides video chat services, created the site.
