repoession of a car

hi I wanted to ask if I could actaually get into some big trouble if I don't give the car up for repossession first thing I want to know is that when they repo a car is it usually the person who took out the loan? we have two cars one is in my husbands name and the other is in my mothers she's the one who took the loan but the car resides with us she's got the titles in her name and everything else just the insurance is in both names I know nothing about repos and my husbands father said that if we don't give the car up that the police will be knocking on my door. the other is in my husbands name and only his. the repo man that was here asked for my husband. can anyone give any information on this or shed some light.. my husband gets paid every two weeks so.

I'm still wondering why she made the point of telling us that her husband gets paid every two weeks. We're not the finance company, so what do we care? Look I get that people fall on har times and shit happens, but you have to be responsible. Either find a way to pay your debts or be an adult and work something out with the finance company so that they can get the car back without it being a total pain in the ass.

unknown 1988, you really put your mother in a crappy situation didn't you. She's a lucky woman.

You're a selfish rat. Give up the car, NOW and save everyone a lot of potential grief. It sucks that you got into a tough situation but to put your own mother in a tight spot because you can't just deal with your mistakes is simply evil.

Look sweetie. we all get that people fall on hard times...BUT .take some responsiblity and pony the car up or face what's coming. I'm sure getting pinched on a warrant which will come eventually and at some obscure hour is gonna feel real good. unless your like all the rest and are used to getting locked up. And that said, I have formulated an educated opinion based on my experience that based on your habits and lack of responsibility like so many others we deal with, you.or your hubby are no stranger to our system. Please... do what's right and save me or any of the rest of us the hassle of having to deal with you over some bs. we deal with it enough.
Good luck squaring the issue away. just try it's not that hard.
