Doug, it isn't 'easy' to get on any police department in Massachusetts. It is a long and frustrating road. Unfortunatly, as individuals trying to break into the law enforcement community in good old Massachusetts we can't afford to have discriminating tastes--in fact one might say that the 'best' department is the one that gives you a job. 8)

P.S. I know nothing about the Rehoboth Police Department, in fact I'm not positive where the town is.... :D

Good department overall from what I hear and seen. Its a large town, land wise.

If you are looking for "easy to get on" move south or west.
Most of the New England states have the town and city departments that have very slow turn over.

Rehoboth used to be an easy department to get on if you had a hook in the Board of Selectmen. From what I have heard since they got a new Chief things have changed a lot. There is now a written exam to become a Reserve Officer (I don't know when the next one is going to be offered) and I've heard that he will not consider anyone for full time w/o an Associates Degree.
