I thought by law you had to remove refrigerator doors before you put them to the curb to be picked up? I can't find anything in our city ordnances. Is there such a law under MGL?

MGL Ch 271 s 46 - whoever fails to remove the door or doors from a container originally used for refrigerative purposes before discarding it, or setting it aside for failure to use such container, or before keeping it out of doors for sale or any other purpose in a place accessible to unattended children. Misdomeanor offense.
