BOSTON (WBZ) ― A local gas station and the radio station WBCN will be offering gas for just $1.04 a gallon for the third time in two months.
The deal is at the Gulf Station at 1023 Broadway in Raynham.
The bargain price for gas begins at noon on Thursday.
The last time WBCN and a local gas station offered prices this low, drivers lined up two hours before the pumps opened.
Just last night, drivers in Malden got a similar surprise when King Petroleum on Broadway Street began offering a gallon of regular gas for $2.
Lines outside that station were so long, they began spilling out onto the street. "In this economy, every little bit counts," said George Travis of Dracut. "Every bit helps, especially when you have kids and a family."
We should soon begin to see lower prices like this all over Massachusetts. Triple-A thinks the average price will drop to $2 a gallon in the next few weeks.
