QUINN Bill Question. I've been on the job for 29 years. I started taking CJ classes in the 80's but did not get a degree. If I started back at school and got a degree, would I be eligible for Quinn benefits?

I would think so, so long as your CBA addresses it. Most contracts specify Quinn Bill eligibility by date of hire rather than when you get the degree.

Yes, provided your CBA has not changed the requirements. Here's the MGL language:

"and provided further, that any current regular full-time member of a municipal police department who has begun to accumulate points pursuant to said section 108L of said chapter 41 of the General Laws as of September 1, 2009 shall be allowed to accumulate the maximum number of points permissible pursuant to said section 108L of said chapter 41 of the General Laws"
