Was looking at the holster in the store, and notice two "screws" coming out of the top portion that slides onto the dutybelt, and couldn't figure out their purpose....

Can anyone comment....I was just curious....

So you can clamp it down on your duty belt and it doesnt slide back and forth ... helps with gun retention if you ever get into shit.

As the others have stated they keep the holster from sliding on your duty belt. Don't overtighten them, and tighten a little on each at a time. I count the number of turns with the allen wrench and do the same to the other side.

Exactly what they stated above. Keeps it in place and it will never move. Just make sure that everything is in the place where you want it before securing it, because it just makes it a pain in the ass to keep moving around.

got a little over zealous with mine and buried the allen head screws right into the top of the belt.

made a little plastic shim and slid that in and then tighten it back up.

worked pretty good and kept the holster in place

Over time the allen screws will wear the duty leather requiring constant adjustments, so putting a plastic shim in is a great idea.
