My only comment is that the first few (failed) PIT attempts were in a very bad location
That counts as a pit? That looked more like "let's T-bone this mutha..." Haha...
Nice job !
Them good old boys have nerves of steel
Wow...... Guess they do things very different there, and not necessarily in a good way. Very lucky no innocent folks were hurt or killed. And I agree Visible, some very bad points at which to do a PIT.
Anyone see any issues to learn from here?
When running from the police, ensure that you travel in highly populated areas. Utilize any ride height advantage you have available, especially when being pursued in a truck or large SUV.
Be aware in your blind spots for impending PIT maneuvers, as cruisers need to approach your rear quarters to effect such a technique.
Ensure that the horsepower of your vehicle is equal to or greater than that of the pursuing vehicles. Perfect driving techniques that utilize lateral acceleration (drifting) to maximize speed in turns. Always verify that your tires have enough tread depth prior to engaging into a pursuit with law enforcement. Remember, safety first.
In addition to that, make sure to play appropriate music to keep oneself focused on the drive ahead
Around here that would have been called off after 30 seconds.
With the speeds he was driving and the charge he was wanted for, rightfully so. I probably would have called it off as well.
