GROVELAND - Police in Groveland have recovered hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of property stolen from Beverly Hospital four years ago, and arrested the man in whose home the items were found.
Deputy Chief Jeffrey Gillen says the items included three paintings, one valued at $200,000; a grandfather clock worth $10,000; several carved wooden room dividers; and furniture.
He says they were stolen in 2004 while the hospital was undergoing renovations.
Police arrested 56-year-old Paul Galzerano and charged him with six counts of receiving stolen property valued at more than $250.
Beverly Hospital officials told police the goods were at a home in Groveland.
Galzerano is a former hospital employee. His lawyer refused comment.
