WORCESTER - A woman with four arrests for drunk driving was allegedly driving a rental car to avoid using an interlock breathalyzer device when she hit another car in Auburn Tuesday night.

Amy McKenna, 41, of North Grafton, was arrested by Auburn police around 8:10 p.m. after witnesses to a hit and run crash at the intersection of Route 20 and Millbury Street followed the woman home, police said.

McKenna, who had been arrested on May 30 by Spencer police for a fourth offense of drunk driving and had her licensed revoked on June 1, was allegedly driving a rental car at the time of the crash, police said.

Prosecutors said McKenna drove the car around and stopped at an intersection before hitting a car with a woman and 8-year-old child inside. There were no injuries to the people in the car.

"She didn't care when she was told a child was in the car. She shrugged her shoulders," said Assistant District Attorney Roberta O'Brien during McKenna's arraignment in Worcester Central District Court Wednesday morning.

McKenna's attorney, Christine Martin, said she's "adamant" that she was sober Tuesday night and said she has no memory of the incident.

"She's one month pregnant. She says she's been sober for a significant period of time," Martin said.

McKenna was charged with operating a motor vehicle without an interlock breathalyzer device, operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and leaving the scene of property damage.

Her bail was revoked on an East Brookfeild charge when police said they found pills in her car without a prescription. She was also issued a $5,000 cash bail for the new charges.

Boy, they really throw the term, "women" around loosely these days. Woof.
So this one didn't care that she hit a car containing a young child and she's pregnant. Lovely. On behalf of all taxpayers, I don't think i'm out of line to say that we are not pleased that we'll be paying for another child for her to screw up.
Far too many of these turds are reproducing, failing their kids and creating problems for future generations.
