NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Connecticut State Police arrested a postal worker who led police on a chase from Fairfield to Stamford after he reportedly fired a gun at a man.

New Haven authorities say 41-year-old Anthony DeFelice of New Haven fired a gun at a car in New Haven on Friday because he believed the driver is dating DeFelice's ex-girlfriend.

Police say DeFelice was driving a postal service maintenance vehicle, which he abandoned where he works in Wallingford.

State police say they spotted DeFelice in his own car in Fairfield and chased him down Interstate 95 to a rest area near Stamford, where he surrendered.

DeFelice is charged by state police with reckless driving and engaging police in pursuit. New Haven authorities say other charges are pending.
