LEOMINSTER -- A Brockton woman is being held on $2,500 bail after turning herself in on charges that she used false identification to purchase hundreds of dollars worth of gift cards from local retail stores.

Stacie Jones, 39, of 26 Sherman St., Brockton, is facing six counts of credit card fraud, larceny more than $250, forgery of a document, identity fraud, and improper Registry of Motor Vehicles documentation.
Jones allegedly used information from unsuspecting residents in Stow and Dorchester to open store accounts at TJ Maxx, Linens and Things, J.C. Penny, American Eagle, Best Buy, Target, Toys-R-Us and Lowes, according to documents at Leominster District Court. Jones allegedly used the accounts to purchase more than $4,000 worth of gift cards from the stores in March, according to the statement of facts. She is due back in court on Nov. 24 for a pretrial hearing.
