GARDNER -- Police think the slashing of the tires on 42 cars at the Salvadore Chevrolet dealership is connected to the break-in at the Enterprise Car Rental office, according to Gardner Police Lt. John Bernard.

Two men are seen in surveillance video breaking into the Enterprise office on Timpany Boulevard, sometime Friday night, according to Bernard.
The men left the office when the alarm went off, according to Bernard.
Police suspect the same two men slashed tires on 42 cars at the West Broadway dealership sometime either before or immediately after the Enterprise break-in, according to Bernard. Police used a K-9 unit to track the dealership suspects to Sawyer Street, where the tracks stopped. Bernard believes the suspects got into a car at this location.
